Below is the sketch we are using as inspiration for our DOstamperStars Blog Hop. It is an AWESOME and easy sketch to follow! I've had a little sneak peek at some of the other cards on the hop and I think you'll come away as inspired as I was.
Cutting Instructions: Card base: ½” sheet of cardstock White or neutral layer: 4” x 5-1/4” (for stamping in the center area) DSP Triangles: two 2”squares (cut diagonally to get 4 triangles)
I had selected two different stamps to play with for this sketch, but the whole thing went together so easily that I ended up with two cards! I really encourage you to pull out a stamp set, some coordinating inks and DSP and give this simple sketch a try!
For the pink card, I used Flirty Flamingo to stamp the images from Friends are Like Seashells. I then lightly added some gray marker to the edges to give it a drop shadow, which adds dimension and interest to the images.
Even those the art gallery stamp images are layered, I achieved the look of two-colors in the flower by stamping off. For the first layer, I inked up my stamp then stamped onto a piece of scrap paper, then without reinking, I stamped it on my layer. When I stamped the second layer, I inked it up and stamped directly to the layer. By removing a little ink from your shadow layer, it makes it appear lighter in color and works great for these two-stepped stamped images.
Double work, but double the fun! Very nice!
