Shaker Card Inspiration Hop

The DOStamperSTARS are shaking things up today with an shaker card inspiration blog hop! There are lots of different ways to create shaker cards, but I decided to use the snow globe shaker domes, and the Still Scene Bundle to create the three different variations below.

Join me on my Facebook page Wednesday evening, October 23rd - 7PM Central/8PM Eastern and I'll show you how to put together the shaker dome!

Yellow Cardinal

I love beautiful and unique birds. The story of the rare yellow cardinal spotted in Port St. Lucie, Florida inspired me to make this card using the Stampin' Up! Toile Tiding stamp set.

Home to Roost Fun Fold

Happy Saturday!!! Today we are "Stamping With the Stars!" and our first project is a pop-up diorama box. I was hoping that my stamping partner might be Donny Osmond but he's busy as a peacock right now so I stamped this little farm scene all by myself!

I created a downloadable PDF file for you with the score lines marked. Just cut your cardstock to 10-1/2" x 5-1/2" to get started!

Here's the outside of the card, the door is from the "Sliding Doors" framelit and coordinating set from the Annual Catalog.

Treehouse Adventure Card

When I was a child, I loved tree houses. I had a couple, they weren’t fancy but they were mine and felt like a little private hideaway for me and my friends. I wanted to make a card that captured that whimsical feeling, because that’s what it feels like to a kid. I chose fun bright colors and made the clouds with gold foil, pink and blue card stock. Maybe someday I’ll build a treehouse that I could have my stamp club in?

Lovely Flowers Valentine's Day Card

And hello! It's Tuesday, snowy and GROSS up here in Minnesota. The roads are covered with sheets of ice and more snow is expected today. Oh well, with Valentine's Day just around the corner here in the US we can put aside those gray dreary thoughts and immerse ourselves in happy thoughts by making Valentine's.
Ironically, I used one of the same sets for this card as I did for the farting skunk Valentine. I haven't decided yet which one my Valentine will receive. Haha!
This card is decidedly more romantic, with touches of gold foil and vellum to step it up to the next level.
